Rose is a visual language, without an oral equivalent, because it is a different way of seeing the world. Each character can be “read” in the normal way you would pronounce a letter in a word. If you want to translate, you can read the word itself and then draw out the meanings. Here are some example words:

A simple concept: dog

Friendly dog
growling dog

Rose symbol for d: closeRose symbol for o: badRose symbol for g: frown

A friendly doggie, one you could whistle to, then pat and play fetch with. a dog you would rather not have so close to you.

A more complicated concept: love

Friendly dog
growling dog

A love we dream about, we cherish. A partnership together. (And maybe even give a Rose Love card to-see the kickstarter) A love you may need to leave; one tinged with hate.
